I set out to create a scene specifically for a children's animation, focusing on a pond and deck. The idea behind this is that I miss the warmth and comfort of old shows and games that I associate with my childhood. I believe that many media outlets aspire to appear both realistic and grim, which is often associated with high quality within the media. Nevertheless, creating a scene that radiates warmth, reminding people of old media (such as paintings, storybooks, games, and animated films) and memories, I believe, is harder to achieve.
